Revlite Skin & Body Treatments

Revlite Laser Skin Treatments

Revlite from Cynosure is a new generation of Q-Switched laser featuring revolutionary technology that utilises nanosecond pulses to treat a range of skin issues with 60% more power. Cynosure is leader, innovator, developer, and best-in-class creators of energy-based aesthetic and medical treatment systems. As the medical aesthetic division of Hologic, Cynosure develops and manufactures a diverse range of leading treatment applications for hair removal, skin revitalisation, scar reduction, gynaecological health, body contouring, and more. Their innovative products are used worldwide by practitioners, physicians, and aesthetic business owners to help enhance their offerings while providing the latest treatments to patients.

Treatment with this laser creates outstanding results for those with pigmentation issues, such as dark spots and melasma, as well as acne scars and vascular lesions. Along with creating clearer complexions, this non-ablative laser is an effective method for skin resurfacing and boasts no downtime.

The Revlite system is designed to cause controlled damage to the skin, removing signs of ageing and sun damage while spurring the development of new collagen, resulting in firmer, more youthful skin in the treatment area.

It features an advanced PTP (PhotoAcoustic technology pulse) setting that safely and gently penetrates the skin to stimulate new collagen. The result is a smoother texture, smaller pores, and a reduction in wrinkles and acne scars. The unique PTP setting also provides extra power for effective treatment to eliminate brown spots and other pigment problems

Revlite produce a special wavelength of light that is absorbed by pigmented lesions. The light shatters the pigment, breaking the melanin into micro particles and lightening the lesion. You will notice the spot turning grey or white for a few minutes, a natural response of the skin as it absorbs the energy. The spot will turn darker and slough off completely within one to two weeks.
Revlite works well to remove brown age spots, freckles and other brown birth marks. A consultation is required to identify the type of lesion and to discuss the treatment for your condition. Melasma is a form of hyperpigmentation that’s more commonly seen in women (especially in those with darker skin type) . Melasma causes brown or tan patches on the face, due to an overproduction of melanin.  There are a number of triggers to melasma including pregnancy, birth control pills, and sun exposure. Hyperpigmentation, as well as melasma, can be exacerbated by treating the skin with the wrong laser therapy, or a laser which is not correct for your particular skin type.  In some cases, pigmentation can occur after laser resurfacing with Fraxel laser, IPL, ablative lasers, laser hair removal. This side effect, known as post-laser hyperpigmentation or post-inflammatory pigmentation (PIH) consists of dark patches or lesions, which can take a year or longer to resolve on its own, or be permanent without the proper treatment. The latter is what distinguishes it from traditional hyperpigmentation and makes it tougher to treat. When choosing to have laser hair removal, it is crucial to select a clinician who understands your skin type and the correct laser treatment to prevent any unwanted side effects, such as PIH. Unfortunately, in many states, laser treatments are not under regulations, and there are many spas and clinics which have untrained and unauthorised assistants doing laser hair removal.  Revlite laser from Cynosure is the only laser approved for the treatment of Melasma. It is important to do your research and google the best lasers and treatments for your skin type, before proceeding with any cosmetic treatment. The Revlite melasma laser treatment procedure works by the laser light breaking up the pigmentation in the dermis and epidermis. The extremely short pulse duration of the Revlite shatters the pigment into micro particles so that the pigment can be removed.

Venus Legacy Skin & Body treatments

Skin Tightening

As we age we produce less collagen, leading to wrinkles, sagging and necklace lines. Venus Legacy™ uses heat to naturally boost collagen production to tighten, lift and frame the face + reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Combining Multi-Polar Radio Frequency and Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields, which produce uniform heat under the skin’s surface. The radio frequency causes a thermal reaction in the tissue, which stimulates the body’s natural healing response. This works to increase collagen and elastin, which results in tighter, smoother skin.

This process also works to break down the volume of fat cells in the treatment area, which helps to give a slimmer, more contoured shape and is safe and effective for all skin types.

Downtime: Virtually painless, you can return to your daily schedule immediately.

Treatment Cycle: Most patients receive 6-8 treatments per area. The exact number will depend on each individual person and the area being treated. Treatments are done once a week.

Fat Freezing VS Fat Melting

(Cool sculpting VS Radio frequency)

Already, non-invasive body sculpting has become the go-to treatment for celebrities, athletes, and anybody that simply wants to shift those stubborn areas of unwanted fat without spending hours in the gym or going under the knife.

What are the most effective fat reduction treatments?

There are two main approaches to non invasive fat reduction: fat melting and fat freezing. The first is done by Radiofrequency (RF), which converts electrical energy to heat beneath the skin, causing the fat cells to melt. Fat freezing is achieved with Cryolipolysis (Cryo), which uses sub-zero temperatures to freeze the fat cells. Both techniques result in lipoapoptosis, whereby fat cells are emptied and the fat is removed through the body’s lymphatic system.

❗️Therapists are more actively involved with RF treatments; gliding the treatment hand piece over the target area, which creates an even result without gaps. With Cryo treatment, the therapist just needs to set up the Cryo applicators and activate them. However, because Cryo applicators are static during treatment and are typically quite large, the treatment is limited to larger body areas such as the abdomen, legs and back. In contrast, RF treatments can be performed almost anywhere on the body, including problematic areas for excess weight and loose skin such as the arms and neck.

❗️Clients will usually feel a comfortable warm sensation with Radiofrequency body sculpting(like a hot stone massage).
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Cryolipolyisis. The pulling skin suction and freezing temperatures of around -11°C can make the treatment quite uncomfortable. Clients can also expect to feel a localised soreness after their fat freezing treatment, similar to that of a minor muscle injury or intense workout.

❗️Potential side effects

For Fat Melting treatments to effectively break down fat cells and stimulate collagen production, an optimal temperate range of 40-42°C is required at the skin’s surface. Many advanced RF devices now feature integrated real-time temperature monitoring systems to ensure safe therapeutic temperatures are not exceeded and eliminate the risk of thermal injury.
Although quite rare, ’ice burns’ are a concern with Cryolipolysis. Furthermore, fat freezing treatments carry the remote risk of paradoxical adipose hyperplasia. This adverse reaction to the treatment results in the fat cells and treatment area becoming larger rather than smaller. We don’t exactly know why PAH happens to certain patients, and recent studies suggest that PAH occurs far more often (1 out of 138 treatments) than the manufacturer has previously reported (1 out of 4,000 treatments).

❗️One major benefit of radiofrequency treatment is that in destroying the fat cells, it also stimulates an inflammatory response, which triggers an increase in collagen and elastin in the body. The end result is tissue repair. So any loose skin left from eliminating the fat cells is naturally tightened. It’s a fat reduction and skin tightening at the same time.

Fat freezing methods are unable to produce this result.

In our studio we are using Venus Legacy Radio frequency device (fat melting ). It’s a strongest, fastest and most comfortable treatment to clinically improve cellulite, tighten loose skin, smooth fat deposits and boost your confidence.
